• Carnegie Trust for The Universities of Scotland
  The Carnegie Trust for the Universities of Scotland invites applications for its small research grants. These are intended for members of staff or retired members of staff of a Scottish university. Grants are for a maximum of £2,000. Graduates of a Scottish university may also apply for these grants to conduct personal research which does not relate directly to the work for which they are employed. Those graduates who are studying for a postgraduate degree or diploma can apply only if they hold a Carnegie or Caledonian scholarship or a studentship awarded by a Scottish university or the British Academy or are self-funded. • The Foundation for Canadian Studies in the United Kingdom
  The Foundation for Canadian Studies in the United Kingdom was established in 1975 to support teaching, research and publishing about Canada in the United Kingdom, and to promote academic links and student exchanges between Canadian and British universities. We support these activities through grants, travel awards and the funding of academic posts and scholarships at British universities.
• Leverhulme Trust Academic Network Grants The Leverhulme Trust invites preliminary applications for its academic network grants to encourage the formation of academic networks and to permit the visit of individual scholars to the UK. The lead applicant should be employed at a university or other institution of higher and further learning in the UK. Grants are awarded for up to three years and cover travel costs and subsistence, costs for the organising and running of local seminars or workshops, and the salary of a network facilitator.

• Filson Historical Society Fellowships and Internships
  'The Filson fellowships and internships encourage the scholarly use of our nationally significant collections by providing support for travel and lodging. Internships provide practical experience in collections management and research for graduate students. Fellows as well as interns are expected to be in continuous residence at The Filson. Application deadlines for all fellowships and internships are October 15th and February 15th each year. Applications are reviewed two times a year. The Society's collections are especially strong for the frontier, antebellum, and Civil War eras of Kentucky history. The fellowships are designed to encourage research in all aspects of the history of Kentucky and the regions of the Ohio Valley and the Upper South. Applicants should indicate how The Filson's collections are relevant to their research topics and will have the opportunity to present the results of their research to scholars and the general public as appropriate.'
